waterboarding

Waterboarding!

The idea of waterboarding has appealed to me for a while now, ever since the big scandals about the US military doing it to prisoners during interrogation. I have a fear of water, especially water in my face,  so I could never have it done to me but I was still curious and figured the best way to learn was to do it to someone else! My next DVD shoot seemed like a great time to conduct this experiment, so I wrote it into the script of “Julie Simone, Sadistic Bitch”. I did some research on-line about techniques, as did Zenova Braeden, my production partner and dear friend. She constructed the set so that my victim, Jack Steele, would be able to be restrained at an angle with his head lower than his feet so the water would rush down his face and trick his brain into thinking he was drowning. Jack is a lifeguard and was confident he would be fine.

The articles I read didn’t really go into what is done after the water is poured on the face. At first I left the wet towel on him, but I found removing it after the water was poured so I could hear him gasp and watch him spit out the water that made its way into his nose and throat to be far more amusing. I also liked putting the cloth over his head then making him wait, building the anticipation so he didn’t know exactly when it was coming. It was an awesome experience!
